Afgelopen weekend stak Frankrijk voor ettelijke miljoenen af aan vuurwerk, maar dat was vanwege Quatorze Julliet; de dag van de Republiek en de Revolutie. Terwijl de rest van het land nu weer een jaar moet wachten, viert de Franse Riviera bijna elke avond wel feest. Hier is iedereen gewoon aan het werk want toerisme, boten en huizen blijven de voornaamste pijlers onder de lokale economie en dus hebben de lokale gemeenten wel wat euro’s over om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Behalve het Vuurwerk Festival in Cannes waar China aanstaande zaterdag laat zien wat zij niet hebben verkocht aan het buitenland, hebben ook Antibes en Juan Les Pins hun vuurpijlen klaarstaan op. In Juan les Pins op 14 en 18 augustus. Antibes is hemels verlicht op 1, 8, 15 en 24 augustus.
